Smart Light Controller
Make Lighting Control a Breeze
Make Lighting Control a Breeze
Milesight WS558 is a LoRaWAN® Smart Light Controller that allows occupants to centrally control the lights on eight circuits. With remote and time-based ON/OFF, WS558 enables to improve the overall efficiency of electricity consumption in buildings such as offices, shopping malls, hospitals and schools.
Milesight D2D protocol featuring LoRa enables the communication among different Milesight LoRaWAN® node devices without a LoRaWAN® gateway.
WS558 supports local switch button control and allows to test the light status without networking after powering up the device.
The power consumption measurement and flexible schedule settings would help to save power and lower electric bills. (Only LN Type)
The overcurrent protection prevents the connected lights and the smart controller itself from damage of short circuit and overload.
In case of any power failure, the present settings will be saved and WS558 will resume to previous operating status after power has been restored.

A smart light controller enhances smart lighting by enabling remote access, automation, centralized management, integration, and energy efficiency. It allows users to centrally control lighting and automate schedules based on triggers. It can integrate with other systems for coordinated scenarios and optimize energy efficiency.
Yes, you can control multiple lights with one smart light controller. For example, Milesight Smart Light Controller WS558 can handle up to eight separate circuits—each can be controlled respectively. It significantly reduces wiring costs and simplifies installation in various settings such as offices, shopping malls, and schools. Additionally, it supports both remote control and time-based scheduling, allowing users to turn lights on or off via a smartphone app or set timers for automatic operation.
Smart light controllers benefit commercial buildings by enhancing energy efficiency, operational flexibility, and user comfort. They reduce lighting costs by 35-70% through occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, and scheduling. Central management simplifies wiring and lighting control in large spaces, while remote and timer-based features prevent energy waste. Additionally, Milesight Smart Light Controller WS558 is equipped with overcurrent protection to safeguard against overloads and short circuits, enhancing the safety of the lighting system and reducing maintenance costs.
Retrofitting legacy buildings with smart lighting improves energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and operational control. This upgrade can reduce energy consumption significantly through occupancy-based and daylight dimming adjustments. Integrating smart lighting with building management systems enhances overall efficiency, while features like circadian lighting improve occupant well-being. The ROI is significant, with energy savings boosting property value. Smart lighting also supports sustainability goals by reducing carbon footprints and can help buildings earn green certifications.
When selecting a smart lighting controller for commercial use, prioritize key features such as sensor integration (occupancy and motion sensors), remote control via mobile apps, and customizable settings (scenes and scheduling). Ensure compatibility with building management systems (BMS) for seamless integration and scalability for future needs. These features collectively enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve user experience.
