As the technologies and market changes, so does Milesight. Today, Milesight announces it’s official rebranding strategy, to drive the world of potential with sensing insight. In new Milesight, We will expand the boundaries of top-edging technologies to extend human perceptions and empower digital sensing to realize the true value of AIoT.
Xiamen, China (Apr 1st, 2023) - Milesight, a global provider of smart IoT and video surveillance products, officially rebranded as it embarks on a new journey in the Internet of Things with its sensing technology. We had the opportunity to speak with Milesight's Vice President, Leon Jiang, to gain insights into the company's innovative strategy and plans for bringing it to fruition.
Right at the beginning of a new year, why does Milesight make such a big change to make the revolutionary strategic plan?
Throughout the course of human development, we have processed from mechanical and analog electronic technology to digital electronics. Currently, we are in the midst of a digital transformation revolution. In our knowledge, the four pillars of digital transformation is Digital Sensing, Connectivity, Calculation, and Storage. With the increasing needs, intelligent sensing technologies is becoming crucial across a wide range of applications, including smart city, smart building and IoT, presenting enormous market potential. To achieve the company's long-term goal, we consistently keep pace with technological trends and adapt to market growth and development. Our commitment to customer-oriented needs drives us to embrace the latest technology and deliver high-quality products and services.
As our Board of Directors illustrated, "We are known as rooted in the era of digitalization at prime period. From 2011 to 2022, we had been through a significant shift from digging into the security industry and accumulating experiences of digital and intelligent technologies to exploring the IoT world, where we introduced LoRaWAN®, 5G dellular technology, and sensor-centered technology. Undoubtedly, we adhered to converting our core technologies into applications to benefit our worldwide clients. Although we had focused on vision sensor as a core value, it could not stop us from moving forward to expand multidimensional sensor-based technology and gain insights to drive digital transformation based on the nature of sensor technology.
As we know, Milesignt has been exploring the frontiers of AIoT applications landing since 2021. So now, how does Milesight add value to boost sensing insight? In other words, what changes will Milesight make under the rebranding?
Over the past 11 years, we have taken advantage of the advanced image process technology, which made us more accessible and more efficient in collecting and organizing real-time and multidimensional data to offer comprehensive and vertical solutions. With our rebranding strategy, our goal is not to change the products we offer but to take them to the next level to advance their possibilities while improving the services we provide to our customers worldwide.
As a witness and potential pioneer of the AIoT industry, we have strongly acknowledged two new aspects among market and technology tendencies. Firstly, cameras are one of the visual sensors providing images and video streams, and we have AI algorithms to gain deep information analysis. Therefore, combining sensor and AI video analytics matching the IoT technologies can offer omnichannel solutions, such as ToF, laser, etc. Secondly, the demands of sensory-centered products and solutions have been required and applied in various industries. For example, people counting devices, smart traffic cameras, and so on, providing abundant information regarding crowds, vehicles, and other environmental situations in an area promote additional values. Therefore, we will not only take advantage of the security industry but also aims for a market position in the fast-growing AIoT industry.
From the new perspective of sensing insight, can you share with us the future planning of the product range? I mean the whole digital sensing products under the combination of Milesight IoT and Milesigt Security.
In our knowledge, we would like to explain the four aspects of IoT, including digital sensing, connectivity, interaction, and application to better address our product development strategy.
The main purpose is to leverage the security of visual capability and multidimensional IoT to generate brand new intelligent sensing product series, including the foundation of an AI training platform, back-end interface, and highly concentrated third platforms to adapt to different segments. Our main goal is to improve our management strategies rather than just providing general overviews. For example, we provide specific materials for individual products that are tailored to suit the unique requirements of our partners in various industries. By utilizing scenario-based data analysis, we aim to facilitate more efficient and meaningful analytics.
As mentioned earlier, the digital sensing, comprises security cameras and sensors such as sensing cameras, people counting sensors, environmental sensors and more. These devices are capable of sensing various environmental information such as people flow, vehicles, temperature, noise, air quality, water, weather, and others. It is important to emphasize that sensory data is processed through Milesight smart devices to generate valueable core data that can provide actionable insights for vertical markets. While the connectivity pertains to data transmission facilitated by LoRaWAN and 5G technologies, the interaction involves the use of IoT display devices to demonstrate data and information for the scenes. Lastly, the application comprises various segments such as Smart City, Smart Building, Smart Agriculture, etc. The ultimate objective is to leverage the potential of Milesight Sensing products to empower different industries and segments and accelerate the digitalization process across various settings.
What are you most excited about sensing technology for the near future and beyond?
The trend of digital transformation presents challenges and opportunities and is a crucial factor in shaping the future of an intelligent AIoT world. With enhanced sensing capabilities and advanced IoT insights, we are determined to leverage every single opportunity to enhance our offerings with insightful sensing technology to provide tailored solutions for vertical markets in an actionable and adapted way, and we are excited and committed to achieving this goal.
